Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari
Talata Mafara, Zamfara State
Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari is a community advocate and youth organiser from Talata Mafara in Zamfara State. He serves as an Executive Board Member of the Governing Council of the City Boy Movement, National Convener of Yari Messengers and Patron of Yari Sport Initiative. His work includes empowerment, community development, grassroots participation and opportunities for young people.
Ahmad is the son of Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, a former Governor of Zamfara State who represents Zamfara West in the Senate. Talata Mafara is his hometown, and his ties to Zamfara are reflected in his community visits, youth engagements and discussions about opportunity in the state.
His interests bring together practical community support and participation in public life. Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari Foundation provides a focus for charitable empowerment, while his roles in sport and grassroots organisation connect him with young people, community representatives and organisers in different settings.

Talata Mafara, and the ties that remain.
During his brother's wedding celebrations in September 2025, Ahmad and his peers visited the General Hospital in Talata Mafara. They spent time with patients, most of them women and children, prayed for their recovery and provided comfort and hygiene packages.
Ahmad also met Governor Dauda Lawal at his Abuja residence. Their closed-door discussion focused on youth development, empowerment and meaningful opportunities for Zamfara's people, alongside youth participation, unity and political strategy.
At a courtesy visit to General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida in Minna, a conversation about Ahmad's maternal grandfather brought family and education into focus. Ahmad recalled how his grandfather encouraged his father to stay in school, reflecting on the enduring influence of that support.
Family & shared occasions
Family, heritage and shared occasions.
Ahmad joined his parents at the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo in December 2025 as they received the titles of Obaloyin and Yeye Obaloyin of Yorubaland. The occasion brought the family together around a shared honour and a connection across regions. Ahmad welcomed its significance for unity and for bringing people together despite their differences.
