The office of Hon. Ahmad Abdul'aziz Yari wants everyone to be able to use this website, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they rely on.

1. Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Accessibility is checked when pages are designed and built, and again when they change.

2. What we have done

Structure and navigation

• Every page has one main heading and a logical heading structure.
• A "skip to content" link is available at the top of every page.
• The whole website can be used with a keyboard, with a clear, visible focus indicator.
• Menus, dialogs and the photograph viewer can be closed with the Escape key, and focus returns to where you were.
• Navigation is in the same place on every page, and the current page is marked.

Text and colour

• Text is designed to meet contrast guidance against its background.
• Colour is never the only way information is shown.
• Pages remain usable when text is enlarged to 200 percent.
• Long articles are set at a comfortable reading width.

Images and media

• Photographs carry text descriptions. Purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Films never play with sound unless you start them, and they include standard player controls.
• Film previews only play silently on devices with a mouse, and never play on touch devices or when reduced motion is on.

Motion

• The website respects your device's "reduce motion" setting. When it is on, animations and moving effects are removed and content appears in place.
• Nothing flashes more than three times a second.

Forms

• Every form field has a visible label.
• Errors are explained in words next to the field they concern.
• Longer forms save your unsent answers so that you do not lose your work.

Devices

• The layout adapts to phones, tablets and desktop screens, in portrait and landscape.
• Interactive controls are large enough to use comfortably by touch.

3. Known limitations

• Some films do not yet have captions or transcripts. We are adding them, starting with the films that include speech.
• Some photograph descriptions are brief. We are improving them as albums are reviewed.
• Documents uploaded in the past may not all be fully accessible.
