Senator Abdulaziz Yari Applauds Ahmad Yari for the Massive Youth Turnout in Gusau

Senator Abdulaziz Yari has applauded his son, Hon. Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari, for the massive youth turnout recorded in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, on Saturday, 26 September 2026, describing it as a remarkable demonstration of youth participation and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a message shared on Monday, 28 September 2026, the Senator representing Zamfara West said he was proud of Ahmad and of every young person who came out in Gusau.

"Our youths stepped forward"

Senator Yari said:

It’s encouraging to see our youths step forward with such energy, courage and a strong sense of purpose.

The massive turnout in Gusau was a remarkable demonstration of youth participation and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Indeed, I am proud of Ahmad Yari and every young person who came out. The strength and valour of our young people give us confidence in the future. They are the next generation of leaders, innovators and nation-builders who will take Nigeria forward.

One day, two states, one message

Saturday was a demanding day for Ahmad. In the morning he stood with thousands of young people in Gusau at the rally organised by Zamfara youths in solidarity with President Tinubu, where he attended as an Executive Board Member of the Governing Council of the City Boy Movement. From Gusau, he travelled the same day to Kano for the launch of the Yari Sport Initiative, where he serves as Patron.

The two engagements carried a common thread. In Gusau, young people came together to express their support for the Renewed Hope agenda. In Kano, the Yari Sport Initiative began its work of bringing young people together through sport, discovering talent and connecting athletes with training and opportunity. Both centred on the energy and future of Nigerian youth.

A father's encouragement

For Ahmad, the Senator's words carry the weight of both a leader and a father. Senator Yari served two terms as Governor of Zamfara State, chaired the Nigeria Governors' Forum and now represents Zamfara West in the Senate. His recognition of the Gusau turnout places the credit where he says it belongs: with the young people who answered the call.

Ahmad has consistently encouraged young people in Zamfara to take their place in public life. Ahead of the Gusau rally, he called on the people of the state to come out in unity and participation. The response on Saturday gave that call a clear answer.
