Ahmad Yari Thanks Zamfara, Kano, Arewa and Nigerians for Their Support of the Tinubu–Shettima Vision 2027

Hon. Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of Zamfara, the people of Kano, the entire Arewa region and Nigerians at large for the massive turnout and show of support for the Tinubu–Shettima Vision 2027 during last weekend’s engagements in Gusau and Kano.

In a message of thanks shared on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, Ahmad said the support he received was humbling, and that the energy shown by young people across the North reflected a strong belief in the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

A weekend of support for Vision 2027

The weekend began on Saturday, 26 September 2026, in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, where young people from across the state turned out in large numbers in solidarity with President Tinubu. Ahmad attended as an Executive Board Member of the Governing Council of the City Boy Movement. From Gusau, he travelled to Kano for the launch of the Yari Sport Initiative, where he serves as Patron.

Ahmad thanked everyone who came out in both cities. He said the turnout was a clear statement that the people of the North stand with the Tinubu–Shettima ticket and with the vision of a stronger, more united Nigeria.

Thanks to the Zamfara State Government

Ahmad expressed his gratitude to the Zamfara State Government for the warm reception accorded to him and his team in Gusau. He described the hospitality as a reflection of the spirit of unity that Zamfara has always shown to its sons and daughters.

Honoured by the Emir of Gusau

Ahmad also thanked His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gusau, for the honour of the traditional title of Sarautan Dan Zaki. He said he received the title with deep humility and a sense of responsibility, and pledged to continue to work for the progress of the Emirate, Zamfara State and the young people who look up to its traditional institutions for guidance.

To the youth: thank you for your trust

At the heart of Ahmad’s message is his appreciation for young people. He thanked the youth for their belief and trust in him, and for the commitment they showed by coming out in such numbers. He said that trust is a responsibility he does not take lightly, and that he will continue to create platforms through which young Nigerians can participate, excel and lead.

That commitment runs through his work with the City Boy Movement, the Yari Messengers, the Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari Foundation and the Yari Sport Initiative.

Appreciation to the Yari Sport Initiative organisers

Ahmad thanked the organisers of the Yari Sport Initiative launch in Kano for a successful event last weekend. The initiative, of which Senator Abdulaziz Yari is Grand Patron and Ahmad is Patron, brings young people together through sport, discovers talent and connects athletes with coaching and opportunity.

He commended the organising team for their dedication and thanked the people of Kano for their hospitality and for the enthusiasm with which they embraced the launch.

Arewa and Nigeria at large

Ahmad extended his appreciation to the entire Arewa region and to Nigerians across the country who followed and supported the weekend’s activities. He said the show of support from the North and beyond gives him confidence that the Tinubu–Shettima Vision 2027 enjoys broad and genuine support among Nigerians.

He closed his message by thanking everyone once again and assuring them of his continued commitment to the Renewed Hope agenda, to the development of young people and to the unity of Nigeria.
