Ahmad Yari Thanks Zamfara, Kano, Arewa and Nigerians for the Show of Support

Hon. Ahmad Yari thanks the people of Zamfara and Kano, the youth, the Zamfara State Government, the Emir of Gusau and Nigerians for their support of the Tinubu–Shettima Vision 2027.

Hon. Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari has thanked Nigerians for the massive turnout and show of support for the Tinubu–Shettima Vision 2027 during a weekend that took him from the Zamfara State capital, Gusau, to Kano for the launch of the Yari Sport Initiative. In his message, shared on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, Ahmad speaks directly to the people who made the weekend a success.

A message of gratitude

Ahmad’s message is one of appreciation. He thanks the people of Zamfara and the people of Kano, the Arewa region in its entirety and Nigerians at large for the support they showed for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

The weekend began on Saturday, 26 September 2026, with a massive youth rally in Gusau in solidarity with the Renewed Hope agenda. Ahmad attended as an Executive Board Member of the Governing Council of the City Boy Movement. The same day, he travelled on to Kano for the launch of the Yari Sport Initiative, where he serves as Patron.

Thanks to the Zamfara State Government

Ahmad thanks the Zamfara State Government for the warm reception he and his team received in Gusau. The welcome reflected the hospitality for which Zamfara is known and the spirit of unity that brought people together for the rally.

The Emir of Gusau and the title of Sarautan Dan Zaki

Ahmad expresses his gratitude to the Emir of Gusau, who honoured him with the traditional title of Sarautan Dan Zaki. He says he received the honour with humility, and he sees it as a call to greater service to the Emirate, to Zamfara State and to the people.

Traditional institutions hold a special place in the life of northern Nigeria. An honour from the Emir of Gusau is a mark of trust, and Ahmad’s response reflects the respect he holds for the traditions and leadership of his home state.

To the youth

Ahmad reserves special thanks for young people. He thanks the youth for their belief and trust in him, and for coming out in such numbers to show their support. For Ahmad, that trust is both an encouragement and a responsibility.

His public work has been built around young people. As a member of the City Boy Movement’s Governing Council, National Convener of the Yari Messengers, Patron of the Yari Sport Initiative and founder of the Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari Foundation, he has consistently sought to give young Nigerians a place in public life, in sport and in their communities.

The Yari Sport Initiative launch

Ahmad thanks the organisers of the Yari Sport Initiative launch, which took place in Kano last weekend. The initiative aims to bring young people together through sport, discover talented athletes and connect them with coaching, training and opportunity. Horse racing and football are among its early priorities.

He commends the organising team for their work and thanks the people of Kano for the warmth with which they welcomed the launch.

Support across Arewa and Nigeria

The message extends beyond Zamfara and Kano. Ahmad thanks the entire Arewa region and Nigerians at large for following and supporting the weekend’s activities. He says the support shown across the North and beyond is a clear sign of confidence in the Tinubu–Shettima Vision 2027 and in the Renewed Hope agenda.

Looking ahead

Ahmad closes with a renewed commitment: to the Renewed Hope agenda, to the development of young people and to the unity and progress of Nigeria. The weekend in Gusau and Kano showed what is possible when young people are given a platform, and he pledges to keep building those platforms.
